Lockheed Martin Awarded $49 Million Contract for MK39 Targets

20160414 – Lockheed Martin Sippican, Marion, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $49,503,485 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to procure MK 39 Mod 2 expendable mobile antisubmarine warfare (ASW) training targets (EMATT). The MK 39 Mod 2 EMATT is the Navy’s open ocean ASW training target. Work will be performed in Marion, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed in March 2021. Fiscal 2016 weapons procurement (Navy) funding in the amount of $2,141,742 will be obligated on the first task order and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with one offer received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, Newport, Rhode Island, is the contracting activity (N66604-16-D-1326).
