This role will manage and implement a records retention and information management program to ensure that our Federal client complies with federal recordkeeping law and requirements.

The Rehancement Group, Inc (TRG) is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our team in supporting a Federal client in Winchester, VA. Currently hiring for 1st shift only 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. This role is contingent upon final confirmation of funding.

This position requires an Active Top Secret Security Clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answer questions from the Help Desk, or other personnel throughout the client personnel, related to records identification and record retention
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to include the Office of the General Counsel, Information and Technology Branch, and other personnel on a variety of recordkeeping and retention matters to understand current recordkeeping practices
• Review new and existing information or records to determine record status or record series
• Determine if existing retention schedules or National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) general record schedules apply to records series under evaluation
• Research business and legal requirements for records retention
• Develop new or update existing records schedules, for agency review and approval, to ensure compliance with federal recordkeeping requirements

Experience and Technical Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience is required. Will consider High School Diploma with 7 years of experience
• Active DOD Top Secret
• Direct experience developing government records retention schedules is required
• Prior experience in developing and/or implementing federal agency records control schedules is required
• Prior knowledge of National Archives and Records Administration policies and procedures is required
• Must be able to work independently
• Must communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally, both orally and in writing
• Must prepare written products demonstrating sound logic and thorough analysis

This role is slated as a W2 position with full benefits, at a compensation range of $30-35/hour. However, Independent contractors/1099's may be evaluated at a higher hourly rate.
