Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in (Syracuse) for a Systems Engineer Sr. Staff supporting the MK-48 Torpedo and USW programs. As a member on our Systems Engineering team, you can help us take on the world's most important and complex challenges by working on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. You will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. The systems engineer in this role will be responsible for applying advanced technical principles, techniques, theories and concepts and contributing to the development of new principles and theories. The systems engineer will need to be a self-starter and will be able to perform architecture definition, requirements decomposition, technical planning, integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total . Having a product line mindset and understanding interconnections between requirements, architecture, and analyses is critical.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree
• Ability to evaluate and review technical changes for impacts to requirements and design documentation
• Experience with Test Procedure development, documentation, and using CM (Configuration Management) tools
• Experience with system requirements management
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance to at least the Secret level
Desired Skills:
• Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
• Experience working with international customers and foreign military sales.
• Ability to translate CONOPS to technical baseline
• Strong technical writing skills
• Experience transitioning Engineering Development Models (EDMs)/prototypes to production
• Understanding Capture process/Win Plan
• Experience with Navy customers

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
