Description
What You'll Do:As the
Systems Engineer, you will support Weapons and Rapid Capabilities functions within NAVAIR Program Office, PMA-290. In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Participating in requirements generation, including performing traceability to the Performance Based Subsystem Specification (PBSS)
- Supporting development of Systems Engineering Plans, Requirements Management Plans, and Requirements Validation/Verification plans
- Writing and contributing to Engineering Change Proposals/Technical Directive development, approval, and implementation
- Reviewing and monitoring the development of relevant engineering documentation and artifacts
- Supporting system integration configuration management, and acquisition and resource management
- Providing input and tracking of platform stores and rapid capabilities engineering critical path to the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)/Roadmap
- Coordinating GFE engineering and Prime Contractor engineering efforts
- Facilitating meetings, taking minutes, tracking schedules, and engineering risk management
- Presenting necessary information to stakeholders within the NAVAIR program office environment
- Supporting TAE/SME coordination for requirements verification, including ground and flight-testing data requirements
- Supporting production and quality assessments of in-production subsystems
- This position requires the ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
Requirements
Who You Are:The Systems Engineer will have the following education and experience: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
- 3 years of related systems engineering experience
- At least 1 year of experience working with NAVAIR customers
