As a
Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide programmatic and technical management support to the SIMCAP program and external interfaces.
This position is not eligible for daily telework; work will be performed on-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD.Requirements
Education, Skills, and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a relevant STEM degree is required
- Operational knowledge and experience interfacing with Semi-automated Forces (SAF) simulation systems like Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) and MSEA's Next Generation Threat System (NGTS/AMIE)
- Familiarity with simulated Weapon Servers, Navy Aviation Distributed Training Center (NADTC), and Navy Aviation Simulation Master Plan (NASMP) trainer systems
- Demonstrated experience with distributed simulation and interoperability experience, seamlessly connecting simulation systems over the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) network
- Well-versed in the areas of Cyber Security, Cross Domain Solution (CDS), and ATO requirements, and have a good understanding of JBUS gateway, DRMS/ASTI Radios, and distributed stimulation protocols (DIS, HLA, and TENA)
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proactive personality with the ability to work with limited guidance and supervision
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing competing priorities and initiating projects
Security Clearance Requirements:- This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
