The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:
RTX Global Real Estate Services has an opening for a Fire Inspection Technician for the Northeast. The position focus will be to perform routine inspections of fire life safety systems throughout Raytheon locations in MA, RI, and NH
As a Fire Prevention Inspector-Site Safety Specialist, the candidate will be responsible for fire prevention activities including area fire inspections, fire extinguisher checks, and related activities.
What you will do: - Perform inspections of fire and safety equipment, to include but not limited to:
- Portable fire extinguishers, fixed, building fire suppression systems
- Emergency lighting, Fire doors & fire alarms, in accordance with applicable NFPA codes, state codes and manufacturer requirements.
- Perform work independently and complete duties and projects with moderate supervision.
- Complete related inspection reports and other work order documents pertaining to services rendered within inspection period.
- Travel to other Northeast RTX site locations in MA, NH and RI to perform fire protection surveys and visual inspection of customer locations to provide detailed information of results.
- Communicate to the customer all deficiencies observed, post-inspection.
- Maintain and present a professional appearance and demeanor in the workplace.
- This position is exposed to occasional outdoor temperature/climate conditions.
Qualifications you must have- This position typically requires a HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) and at least 6 years of relevant experience gained in Fire Protection industry OR in a Fire protection role
- A current valid fire extinguisher license in either of the following states: MA, RI or NH, and be willing to get license in the others as needed.
- Must have a valid drivers license in good standing and the ability to travel to all Northeast RTX site locations in MA, NH and RI.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required . U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Requirements.
Preferred Qualification- Ability to prepare and present verbal and written reports, both scheduled and as needed.
- Active US DOD Secret clearance
- Strong Customer Focus
- Working knowledge and/or experience with MS Office
- Good Oral/ Written Communication skills

#LI-RC1The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
