Cybersecurity SME (Platform Engineering) Senior to support our growing team.
Position Overview: This role serves as a Cybersecurity subject matter expert responsible for advising the government on the development and execution of the strategic and tactical cybersecurity program with a focus on the coordination and development of system security concepts, capabilities, and problem resolution.
Responsibilities: - Support the implementation of technical capabilities that satisfy Intelligence Community Directive-503 (ICD-503) and NGA security requirements.
- Assist in the identification, development, and testing of automated cybersecurity capabilities.
- Receive, identify, and provide cybersecurity requirements and translate those requirements into secure technical solutions that can be understood by customers, adopters, implementers, and developers.
Required: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related discipline.
- Licenses/Certifications: Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer Level 1, or Information Assurance Technician (IAT I) certification, or Technical Level III Certification (as outlined by the DoDD 8140.01)
- Active TS/SCI CI or TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI if required by customer.
- Demonstrated experience engineering, acquiring, using and decommissioning cybersecurity tools in large enterprise projects and programs.
- Demonstrated experience and certification securing virtual systems, cloud computing/hybrid environments and data infrastructure in large enterprise environments.
- Experience implementing processes, standards, and tools within an organization based on Agile software development concepts and best practices such as DevSecOps
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate challenging technical concepts to both lay and expert audiences.
Desired: - Demonstrated experience that shows ability to balance security compliance with program cost, schedule, performance, or mission needs.
- Demonstrated experience with network security architecture and systems security engineering concepts, including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g. application of defense-in-depth) and applying and incorporating security solutions into proposed information technologies.
- Demonstrated experience implementing security controls for Docker containers and Kubernetes based microservice architectures.
- Current DoD 8570/8140 cybersecurity certification and demonstrated experience developing and/or applying cybersecurity principles, policies, practices, standards, or controls.
- Demonstrated experience working on or with major defense acquisitions or large R&D programs.
