ARKA is looking for a Network Engineer with SEC- TS/SCI and Full Scope Polygraph to join our team. In this important role, you will be designing and implementing network system and security components including firewalls, switches, routers and cryptographic devices for a variety of projects, programs and customers for which ARKA provides cutting-edge solutions.

This position can be based out of any ARKA sites in Danbury, CT, Aurora, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, Ypsilanti, Michigan MI or King of Prussia, PA.  Travel up to 25% required.  

Responsibilities:cluding: 

• Work with our customers to help solve their problems by designing and implementing network system components that support a variety of projects and
• Work with ARKA Systems Engineers, Program Managers and Project Engineers to interpret requirements from customers and architect solutions to meet their needs
• Perform installation, network connection and configuration tasks for network and cryptographic devices
• Determine what standard security policies are required and implement those policies as necessary
• Perform test and verification activities to ensure network equipment is functioning per requirements and perform troubleshooting and anomaly resolution as needed
• Design, scope, and implement technical solutions that scale across ARKA business areas and products
• Understand that as a representative of ARKA internally and externally, your decisions and actions will have far-reaching impact
• Explore and integrate new technologies, transitioning operations from traditional administration and deployment to infrastructure as application leveraging automation/configuration management technologies.
• Daily maintenance/administration of multiple production systems
• Assists with Back‐ups and recovery
• Configuration and maintenance of the monitoring system
• Occasional work after hours or weekends at our co‐location facility
• 25% travel

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field preferred; SEC- TS/SCI and Full Scope Polygraph required
• 10+ years of experience designing and implementing network solutions
• Experience with Cisco network devices, NX-OS, Cisco IOS and Cisco ISE
• Experience with Palo Alto
• Experience working with customers to define solutions, including receiving, interpreting, and understanding user requirements
• Experience managing and delivering a customer solution that meets a set of requirements
• CCNA Routing and Switching
• Passionate about fostering good engineering practices and processes
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with an eye for detail and thoroughness
• Demonstrated technical ownership in a project-based work environment
• COMPTIA Security +
• SEC- TS/SCI and Full Scope Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cryptographic device procurement activities, provisioning, and deployment
• Experience with Juniper network devices
• CCNP Routing and Switching
• Experience with telemetry and satellite communications

Locations: This position is available at any of the following sites. 

This position can be based out of ARKA’s nature abundant Aurora, CO campus.
