💡 About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and deploy advanced multi-INT tipping and cueing solutions that enhance Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) accuracy and efficiency. Your work will help push site change detection into a DoD/IC Object Management system, streamlining analyst workflows to prioritize high-value imagery.

Additionally, we aim to integrate auto-point mensuration capabilities to refine target location error calculations. The ultimate goal is to create mission-critical solutions that meet tactical Air Force requirements.

This role involves full-cycle software development, DevOps, and system deployment within a small, agile team working on a microservices-based system. You will also research and integrate with external systems via RESTful APIs, ActiveMQ, and more.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Serve as both a Software Developer and DevOps Engineer
✔️ Build, maintain, and deploy microservices in a containerized environment
✔️ Migrate from a Docker-based system to a cloud-hosted Kubernetes cluster
✔️ Design and develop software that interfaces with SQL & NoSQL databases
✔️ Develop & integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication across platforms
✔️ Work with messaging & event-streaming platforms such as ActiveMQ

🎯 What You’ll Bring:

✅ 8+ years of professional software development experience
✅ Proficiency in:

  • Java (primary development language)
  • Jira & Confluence (Atlassian tools)
  • Linux & Windows operating systems
    ✅ Containerization & Deployment:
  • Docker & Docker-compose (proficient)
  • Kubernetes (deployment and cluster management)
    ✅ Database Management:
  • SQL & NoSQL databases (CRUD operations, API integrations)
    ✅ Messaging & Event Streaming:
  • ActiveMQ (development and usage)
    ✅ RESTful API Development & Integration

🔥 Preferred Skills (Bonus!):

🔹 Visualization & Monitoring: Grafana
🔹 Databases: GeoServer, InfluxDB, MongoDB, SQLite
🔹 Messaging & Event Streaming: Apache Kafka
🔹 Frameworks:

  • Spring Boot (Java)
  • NestJS (Node.js)
  • Flask & FastAPI (Python)
    🔹 DevOps & CI/CD Tools:
  • Helm Charts (system deployment)

💰 Compensation & Benefits:

💵 Salary: $155,000 - $210,000
💰 Total Compensation (w/ SEP IRA Contribution): Up to $262,500
