Woolly Bugger Solutions (WBS) is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to provide analysis, technical expertise, recommendations, and develop products supporting the HQ STARCOM Technical Director (TD) and command digital transformation and innovation initiatives located on Patrick Space Force Base, FL. 

An active TS/SCI clearance is MANDATORY 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide independent analysis, technical expertise, recommendations, and develop products supporting the HQ STARCOM Technical Director (TD) and command digital transformation and innovation initiatives
• Initiating and/or developing Government specified content for US Space Force (USSF) programs
• Providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations for mission and program challenge
• Providing technical expertise on emerging technology to enhance command-owned capabilities and assist command-gained units in the implementation of the Space Force Digital Strategy and STARCOM OPORD Lines of Effort
• Assist in the development of command policies governing the planning and deployment of significantly new, controversial, or far-reaching capabilities and solutions employing IT systems, and support the Commander and Deputy Command through the Department of the Air Forces (DAF’s) digital governance corporate structure.
• Ensure products reflect a firm understanding of STARCOM command objectives, policies and needs
• Attend assigned meetings to share research and collaborate efforts. Capture meeting action items and coordinate tasks with other personnel
• Travel may be required quarterly for a limited duration to support Customer events.

Qualifications:

Required:

• An active TS/SCI clearance is required
• BA/BS degree
• 3- 10 years experience in developing and formulating advice and recommendations, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations for mission and program challenges
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and brief quality products including briefings, point/position papers, and staff packages for senior leaders.
• Self-Starter with ability to multi-task and quickly pivot across multiple work responsibilities in a dynamic environment in response to staff taskings.
• Ability to work with internal and external senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.
• Methodical mindset: Able to follow troubleshooting protocols, solve problems, prepare recommendations, and clearly document solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Office application skills.
• The ability to work in a secure, confined location (i.e., SCIF).

Desired:

• MA/MS Degree
• Experience with US Space Force weapon systems and missions
• Experience with HQ USSF/Chief Technical Information officer (CTIO), other field commands, Headquarters STARCOM directorates, subordinate Deltas, USAF MAJCOMS, program offices, manufacturers, vendors and other organizations to obtain information needed to implement projects within the command
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence
• Experience with Data Science
• Headquarters Staff experience for a Service, Combatant Command, Field/Major Command, or equivalent
• Experience in initiating and/or developing Government specified content for USSF programs.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hrs
