Performs cleaning of any area as assigned to ensure a clean, sanitized, dust free and contamination free environment. This position is an onsite role.** What you will do: Working to verbal and written instructions of supervision, to perform a variety of cleaning operations Custodial cleaning duties consist of sweeping, dry and wet mopping, stripping floors to remove dirt, old wax, grease, oil, using cleaning solutions and solvents when necessary. Waxes, treats, buffs and polishes floors. Cleans and polishes desks and other office furniture. Washes, walls, glass partitions, windows, blinds, lights and light reflectors reachable from the ground. Cleans and maintains sanitary condition of wash rooms and rest rooms. Appropriately disposes of general waste and recycling. Moves recycling/compost containers to collecting area. Sweeps and cleans outside areas immediately adjacent to outside doors such as sidewalk areas and steps. Maintains a clean work area. Performs general maintenance and daily housekeeping of workplace, tools and equipment. Maintains records, moves materials and follows safety rules in performance of duties. Performs other similar duties as required or directed. Machines, Tools, and Equipment used, includes but not limited to: Central and portable vacuum systems, clean room grade applicators, mops, brooms, buckets, various brushes, roll mops, polishes, soaps, cleaning powders and solutions, waxes, solvents, isopropyl alcohol, rubber and work gloves, lint free wipers, filter masks, wall washing machines, sweepers, vacuum cleaners, distilled water, buffing machines and attachments, power sweepers and other related tools and products as necessary.
