In this position you will serve as an MLS Engineer for the Mission Performance & Security Systems Directorate. The candidate will serve as a senior technical expert responsible for the design, development, integration, and sustainment of secure data-sharing solutions across multiple classification domains within U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) environments. This role focuses on the hands-on engineering and deployment of cross domain solutions (CDS) and multi-level security architectures, enabling controlled, policy-compliant data transfer between networks of differing classification levels. The position requires deep technical expertise, operational experience in classified environments, and the ability to lead the implementation of high-assurance security solutions supporting mission-critical systems. Additional responsibilities include: (1) Design, develop, and implement cross domain solutions (CDS) to enable secure data exchange between networks of varying classification levels; (2) Architect and maintain multi-level security (MLS) systems, including definition of data flows, trust boundaries, and enforcement mechanisms; (3) Integrate CDS capabilities into complex systems such as ISR platforms, sensing systems, communications architectures, and data environments; (4) Implement and configure data filtering, validation, tagging, and releasability controls in accordance with security and mission requirements; (5) Support real-time and near-real-time data transfer across domains while ensuring system performance and reliability; (6) Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CDS functionality, data flow, and system interoperability in operational environments; (7) Ensure compliance with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and applicable DoD/IC cross domain policies; (8) Develop and maintain documentation required for Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, including system security plans and risk assessments; (9) Coordinate with government stakeholders, Authorizing Officials, and cross domain authorities during design reviews and accreditation activities; (10) Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams supporting MLS and CDS efforts; and (11) Develop end-to-end MLS architectures across space sensor payloads (EO/IR, RF sensing), spacecraft bus and onboard processing, ground entry points, mission processing, and dissemination layers.
