OverviewThe System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and management of the Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) systems and infrastructure. This role requires an individual with a strong background in network security, system administration, network component configuration and the specific protocols and security measures associated with SIPRNet.
This role is 100% onsite at our corporate office in Washington, DC. We offer commuter benefits to assist with parking or public transportation.
What will you do?- Install, configure, and maintain SIPRNet hardware and software.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure the integrity and availability of SIPRNet systems.
- Implement and enforce security protocols and measures to safeguard SIPRNet operations.
- Manage user access and permissions in accordance with security policies.
- Conduct regular system audits and security assessments.
- Maintain and update system documentation and network diagrams.
- Collaborate with other IT, IA, and security teams to support overall network security.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and implement proactive measures to protect SIPRNet infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and training to users as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and three to five years of classified network administration.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Ability to perform risk assessments and implement appropriate security measures.
- Security or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto switches and firewalls.
- Active Final Secret Security Clearance
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in system administration, with a focus on network security.
- Knowledge of SIPRNet and associated protocols.
- Experience with network and system security best practices.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, encryption technologies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience with endpoint protection tools such as Splunk, ACAS, Trellix, etc…
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
