Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work with federal, state, municipal, local or private protective organizations safeguarding personnel, information and/or assets; recording visitor information and determining whether authorization for access exists; protecting property against hazards such as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; OR maintaining order and protecting life. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 Months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization. This is a Term position scheduled to last 13 Months. A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management.
