The CPS Platform Systems Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) team is looking for a Systems Engineer to serve as the Box Erector Launcher System (BELS) Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE). The BELS RSE will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and sustainment activities for the BELS system. The BELS RSE ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The BELS RSE performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. The BELS RSE will support on-console operations and perform site set-up activities for the CPS Test Programs.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and practices
- Familiarity with Hardware / Software Integration
- Demonstrated abiliy to perform as an On-Site Engineering Support Team-member
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software tools and applications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required
Desired Skills
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Familiarity with US Navy Strategic Programs Customer and / or CPS Program
- Familiarity with risk and opportunity management policies and procedures
- Experience with opportunity management methodologies and tools
- Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
- Experience with product development and deployment
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, program management, and operations
- Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively
- Active DOD clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
