We are seeking a Data Scientist to support complex business and mission analytics through data analysis, visualization, validation, and statistical modeling. This position will work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to identify patterns, trends, and relationships and transform those findings into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI, Python, Power Query, SQL, and Excel and be comfortable translating ambiguous customer requirements into clear analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

Perform qualitative, quantitative, statistical, and business data analysisCollect, transform, manipulate, validate, and combine structured and unstructured data from multiple sourcesDevelop dashboards, visualizations, mockups, and analytical products using Power BIUse Python, SQL, Power Query, and Excel to prepare and analyze dataInterpret data models and work with a variety of data sources and structuresApply mathematical and statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and relationshipsTranslate customer requirements and business questions into analytical or system specificationsWork directly with customers to define requirements and resolve data-related questionsDocument analytical processes, workflows, methodologies, and resultsPresent analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersManage multiple analytical tasks independently and within collaborative teams

Required Qualifications

Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraphMust be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this postingExperience in at least two of the following areas: business analytics, statistics, data verification/validation, or data visualizationExperience applying qualitative and quantitative analytical methods to business problemsStrong experience with Power BI and data visualizationExperience transforming and manipulating data using PythonExperience with Power Query, SQL, and Microsoft ExcelExperience interpreting data models and working with multiple data sources and structuresExperience developing visualization prototypes and presenting analytical productsExperience translating customer requirements into project or system specificationsStrong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to independently break down ambiguous problems into actionable plans

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with technical mission data involving collection, processing, analysis, or disseminationExperience with Intelligence Community business or mission data, applications, or database structuresKnowledge of secure data handling proceduresExperience with Jupyter, Visio, SharePoint, or ConfluenceExperience working with APIsExperience with GitHub or similar version control platformsExperience using RBachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or four (4) years of relevant data analysis experience within the Intelligence Community or military
