This position is part of the Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, Department of Energy. As a Intelligence Research Specialist, you will conduct supply chain risk analysis to support a variety of stakeholders in the U.S. Energy Sector and Intelligence Community (IC).

As an Intelligence Research Specialist you will: Provide supply chain risk analysis in support of the Department\'s efforts to identify foreign capabilities and intent to subvert, sabotage, or exploit critical supply chains. Produce a full range of intelligence products to inform DOE decisionmakers and other stakeholders on potential threats to DOE and NNSA supply chains. Work with IC collectors to refine INT requirements to address evolving supply chain threats. Maintain collaborative relationships with DOE CI field offices, IC counterparts, and key USG departments to harmonize approaches to identifying and addressing supply chain threats. Represent DOE-IN at relevant supply chain threat forums, panels, and working groups to shape interagency policy and champion Departmental objectives. Follow operational guidelines for handling classified documents and secure systems within the division, ensuring full compliance with national security regulations and directives.']
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - GS-13: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following Experiencing gathering, and synthesizing complex information from diverse sources to identify supply chain vulnerabilities, to include foreign ownership/control/influence (FOCI) issues. Experience evaluating risk factors such ownership structures, key management personnel, and business engagements of companies providing equipment or services supporting critical infrastructure. Experience developing and delivering complex analytic presentations, written and oral, to decisionmakers and other stakeholders related to supply chain risk or related national security issues. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - GS-14: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following Experience independently conducting all-source intelligence research and developing and delivering ICD 203-compliant finished intelligence products on supply chain risk issues for executive level decisionmakers. Experience leading or coordinating cross-cutting intra-departmental or interagency efforts to identify and address supply chain threats to critical infrastructure. Experience serving as a program manager advocating for and championing organizational equities related to supply chain risk or related national security issues. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
