Join Lockheed Martin’s Next Gen Geo (NGG) OPIR Mission Operations Support (NMOS) team and play a critical role in operating the next generation of infrared space assets. As a Satellite Systems Crew Chief (SCCH), you’ll help lead mission operations from launch through early on-orbit testing while working closely with mission customers and a highly skilled team of satellite and ground systems professionals.

After completing specialized training, you’ll perform both Satellite Systems Operator (SSO) and Ground Control Operator (GCO) functions. You’ll monitor spacecraft health and telemetry, execute satellite commands, evaluate alarms and anomalies, configure and monitor ground systems, and coordinate real-time activities to maintain mission continuity.

Beyond daily satellite operations, you’ll have opportunities to lead teams, support satellite systems engineering, troubleshoot complex operational challenges, and deliver mission-critical changeover briefings.
