["If selected for this position you will serve as an Information Technology Specialist in the United States Attorney's Office, Northern District of Mississippi, Oxford Office. You will provide a variety of Information Technology services in the following functional areas: Customer Support, Network Systems, and Information Technology Litigation Support Services. Typical duties include: Configuring, installing, and maintaining network systems. Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining customer hardware and software. Providing customer support services, training, and assistance on a variety of routine applications in response to user requirements. Providing technical support for litigation-related systems, applications, databases, and electronic records used in support of legal proceedings. Performing essential Litigation Support tasks associated with day-to-day operations of utilizing specialty litigation support hardware and software network capability systems. Aiding litigation teams on legal automation requirements and systems capabilities to facilitate litigation decisions, case preparation, and trial presentation. Implementing programs to ensure users understand and adhere to government standards of systems security policies, procedures, and promote awareness of security issues among management and employees."]
Minimum Qualifications: Under the updated Competency-Based Standard for the IT Management Series (2210), applicants must: 1. Meet or exceed all required competencies at the minimum proficiency level for the GS-12, as described below: AND 2. Have the required specialized experience for the GS-12, as described below. AND Specialized Experience: To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must have at least ONE full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in Federal service demonstrating the following: Providing IT customer support in troubleshooting, recovering, and/or resolving recurring software/hardware problems; Installing and/or configuring new or modified hardware and operating systems and software; Monitoring network capacity and performance; Assisting with developing, planning, and/or coordinating litigation support services; Providing user training and/or assistance on a variety of programs and applications.
