JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN I
DEPARTMENT: AIRCRAFT INTEGRATIONS
REPORTS TO: AIRCRAFT INTEGRATION SUPERVISOR
CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT
JOB SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, responsible for performing the full range of duties in electrical systems for aircraft installations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install and maintain electrical systems including cable harness/components.
- Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, in accordance with Electrical Drawings/schematics.
- Ability to understand Redline processes while working closely with supervisor.
- Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical component/wire harness, IAW the electrical Drawing/schematics.
- Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- 0-2 years of experience with electronic systems, electronics troubleshooting, electronic testing design, analyzing information, and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Recurring FOD training and awareness, upon hire and annually.
- Ability to comprehend schematics and integration/installation drawings.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A 620 certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity and physical strength necessary to operate tools or make adjustments and repairs.
- Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects.
- Ability to traverse manufacturing facility.
