ASRC Federal System Solutions LLC (AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, requires a highly motivated Engineering Technician II to support the ASTROS Contract. ASRC Federal is supporting cutting edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), and we are looking for the best people to be part of this research.
Key Role:
Provide support to install and maintain systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.) for buildings and components within the assigned area, reading blueprints and diagrams as needed
Use basic hand tools, power tools, and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for basic repair and maintenance of systems as well as groundskeeping
Provide support for equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
Operate a forklift (training provided as needed) to complete tasks
Work in a team environment: receive instructions from a more senior technician, clarify priorities as needed, and complete work independently and as part of a team
Provide timely updates on tasks; complete work according to schedule and quickly communicate any deviations from the schedule
Provide prompt and professional customer service, communicating task status, challenges, and successes
Prioritize safety of self and others as all support must be well thought out, with safety in mind, before starting
Support teammates across the area with logistical or other support (i.e., weed abatement/groundskeeping, maintaining records and logs, inventory)
This position may require overtime or support different work shifts with little to no notice.
This position requires the ability to work in the Mojave Desert, where outdoor temperatures can be extremely hot and extremely cold. Experience working around solid rocket propellent or ordnance/explosives is beneficial.
Basic Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience
High School Diploma
Valid Driver’s License
Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
