Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for an Aeronautical Engineer (Level 3) to be part of our Integration and Test team in Launch Vehicles at Vandenberg Space Force Base. This is a fully on site position; hybrid or remote work is not an option. Relocation benefits are not available for this role. Job Responsibilities The candidate will serve as an Integration and Test Aeronautical Engineer. Daily responsibilities may require direct contact with sensitive launch vehicle flight hardware and ground support equipment. The candidate may be expected to help develop, plan and/or perform integration and testing activities associated with the assembly of flight hardware, testing of assembled systems and components, or execution/support of live fire tests (static and/or flight) at various facilities or launch ranges. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a STEM field 5 years of relevant experience OR Masters Degree 3 years of experience Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Hands on mechanical aptitude Preferred Qualifications Active DoD Secret level security clearance Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering background Experience with aerospace standards/guidelines Experience with external customer interfacing including meetings, presentations & negotiations Experience working with operational hazards such as propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, and high voltage systems Awareness of safety protocols around solid rocket motors Knowledge and experience with CAD software and GD&T Experience working with design, integration, or testing of launch vehicles Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 $165,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
