The Sustainment Business Acquisition Manager (BAM) is responsible for providing strategic guidance and Business Acquisition Team (BAT) leadership for F135 sustainment proposals. The BAM performs acquisition integration in all phases of business pursuit from the new opportunity identification through contract award. You will be the direct link for the F135 Sustainment program office to the program execution, sustainment operations, engineering, finance, contracts, legal, and Business Acquisition Center of Excellence (BACE). This position provides an opportunity to understand every aspect of the F135 Sustainment Program and to work with cross functional teams that support the program. What You Will Do: Business Acquisition: Lead BATs engaged in business pursuits in all phases of business acquisitions. Integration Planning: Develop integration plans and work closely with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration into the sustainment proposals. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may impact the proposal's success. Develop contingency plans and alternatives approaches as needed. Analysis: Perform business and historical analysis to validate assumptions, identify best practices and lessons learned, and formulate strategic direction. Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements throughout the business acquisition gated process to achieve timely contract awards. Communication: Brief Senior Leadership and secure commitment through the gated process Proven leadership ability, strategic thinking, sharing a vision, and ability to gain consensus among groups of individuals and organizations are skills necessary to be successful in this role. Qualifications You Must Have: BS/BA in Engineering, Business or related field is required. A minimum of 10 years' experience in logistics support, supply, procurement, proposal development, or program/project management is required.
