Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Platform Engineer to support the development and implementation of common platform service products. This exciting opportunity will involve working with a team to leverage your expertise in cloud container orchestration platforms and service mesh technologies. What You Will Do Collaborate with a team to develop products for the project using a variety of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools. Manage and maintain assigned documents in accordance with established procedures. Develop modernized software infrastructure products utilizing DevOps tools such as Ansible, Chef, and the Atlassian Tool suite. Build scripts to automate processes using Python, Bash, and Ruby. Support cloud based products such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Gov Cloud as needed. Complete assigned tasks to meet program schedule milestones.
Qualifications:You Must Have Hands on ave Hands on experience:with IaC tools and frameworks Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, and procedure automation using scripting technologies like Python, Linux shells, Windows PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform. Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their services (e.g., compute, storage, networking), VPC, subnets, VPN, firewalls, and load balancers. Version control tools (e.g., Git), container technologies (e.g., Docker), orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift), performance monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack), implementing solutions following the principles of RBAC, least privilege, authentication and authorization, PKI and certificate management, secure networking and containerization, container image scanning. Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant ior relevantior relevantior relevantior relevantior relevantexperience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of
experience. Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security
clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer Knowledge of Cloud Native at the Tactical Edge
Experience with small form factor computer infrastructures
Experience using RTX Modern Software Factory development environment. Exposure to public cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) infrastructure environments.
