Responsibilities
Peratonis seeking an experienced systemsField Support Engineerto join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions.Work is performed at the customer site(s).Responsibilities:Provide expert andsecond-tiertechnical support and analysis to field engineers and technicians.Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of technical products, programs, and systems.Test, train, and field support to customersregardingtechnical aspects of designated systems and services.Provideexpertisefor the resolution of technical problems, troubleshoot products, andmodifyproducts to customer requirements.Maintain network stability through advanced troubleshooting,timelyresolution of incidents, and proactive maintenance to provide the maximum availability andoptimalMean Time to Repair.Provide training to customers.Partner with developers and engineers to reduce reoccurring incidents.Answer questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of designated systems and services.Review and develop technical documents.Travel/TDY my be required CONUS and OCONUS as required to support the customer's mission**Position is Contingent on Contract Award**
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass and obtain a Poly clearance.Minimum of 8 yearsrelevant experiencewithbachelor’s degree; Minimum of 6 years withmaster’s degree; Minimum of 3 years with PhD or 12 years of relevant work experience can be used in lieu of a degree.Current CISSP or Security Certification.Systems Administration of Windows Server and Operating system, Unix, or Linux and/or database skillset.Technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft products,includingWindows Serverand Operating system, Unix or Linux and databases (e.g.,Windows 10/11, Server2016/2019, RedHat 7.x/8.x/9.x Operating Systems, SQL; PowerShell, and Office; Microsoft SQL Server or SQL Server Management Studio, Active Directory.)General knowledge of networking.Possess good oral and written skills.Desired Qualifications:Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.Current VMware, Nutanix, or similar Certificatione.g.VCP, NCP, etc.Strong background in server virtualizatione.g.VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift, Harvester,Proxmox, MS Hyper-V, Citrix, Azure, AWS, etc.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with Terraform or Ansible.Experience with DellPowerFlex.Experience working in a large enterprise environment.Knowledge of storage area networks to include network operating systems, SAN protocols, SAN management, and SAN physical configuration.Computing Environment compliance.Security Clearance:This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenshipis required tohold this clearance.
