Responsibilities Peraton seeks aSenior Data Scientistto supportDepartment of War Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) AI Cyber Security Support..Location: Fort Meade, MD.In this role, you will perform advanced statistical analysis, develop ML models, and conduct operational research to support cyber defense decision-making and threat characterization.Primary Responsibilities:Develop and validate predictive and prescriptive analytic modelsApply statistical and ML techniques for anomaly detection and event correlationConduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify operational trendsCollaborate with mission partners to translate requirements into analytic solutionsDocument analytic workflows and methodologies for knowledge transferMentor junior data scientists and provide technical guidance Qualifications Required Qualifications:Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Will consider Associates with 14 years or High School with 16 years of experience.Advanced proficiency in Python, R, SQLExperience with ML model development and deploymentStrong statistical analysis and hypothesis testing skillsExperience with data visualization and reportingKnowledge of cyber defense operations preferredU.S Citizenship requiredTS with ability to obtain/maintain SCIPreferred Qualifications:AWS/Azure certificationsMaster's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
