Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experiencedCloud/Computing Engineerwith a focus on the Infrastructure Cloudto join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions.The candidate must havedemonstratedexperiencemanaging cloud-based systems and processes.The successful candidate willcreate cloud applications, implement cloud infrastructure solutions, and ensure the security offor our clients’ cloud systems.Responsibilities:Design, build and manage cloud infrastructure environments.Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.Identifytop architecture solutions to successfully meet andmaintainthe clients’ strategic needs.Install, troubleshoot,patchand configurecloud servers foroptimalperformance.Provide technical leadership,expertise, and design of cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies and expert advice to the program, and tooptimizeand implement cloud-based architectures and a roadmap to migrate from on premises solutions.Optimize memory managementidentifyingthe best ways to develop distributed cluster-enabled and graph processing algorithms.Lead data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas, performing Resource Framework Definition (RDF) translations, and defining domain specific functionality, where applicableDevelop large data technologies, algorithms, and applications for clients. Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and large data analytics for clients in research and production areas.Work with massive data sets, complex algorithms, and team members from a variety of specialties toresolve clients' hardest problems.Support a range of clients from front line analysts to researchers and senior leadership. Work as a key contributor on a collaborative, fast-growing, and highly skilled software development team.Experience with information extraction and analysis techniques, practices, and algorithms.Knowledge of a variety of advanced computer science and mathematical concepts, practices, and procedures associated with the analysis of large datasets, from indexing schemes to statistical testsKnowledge of Cloud computing,Hadoopor MapReduce, Netezza, Vertica,BigTable, Pig,Terradata, or Amazon Web Services-Ability to obtain a security clearance.Apply expert knowledge in computer science, particularly in the Semantic Web and cloud computing environments.Develop,implementandmaintainprocesses, procedures, test cases, test results, issue resolutions, and performance analysis, and user guidelines/ instructions documentation.Travel:Travel may berequiredwithin the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.**Position is Contingent on Contract Award**
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearances.Minimum of 8 years relevant experiencewith aBachelor’sdegree (Master’sdegree and 6 years of relevant experienceor PhD with 3 years relevant experience).Proven work experience as aData Center Cloud Engineer or similar roleutilizingcloud technologies.AWS Certified Cloud Architect.Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Strong communicationand collaboration abilities.Desired Qualifications:Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances.Degree(s)in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Knowledge of web services API, REST and RPC.Containerization experience using Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with Python, Java, and Ruby programming languages.SECURITY CLEARANCE:This Positionrequiresan Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship isrequiredTo hold this clearance.
