- A high school diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least two (2 ) years’ experience as a motor vehicle mechanic and HVAC repair technician.
- Qualified and certified in accordance with Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians’ EPA Certification standards for the equipment and material being utilized.
- Must possess a valid state-issued CDL and be able to obtain/maintain a forklift license.
- Basic to intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
- Bend, Squat, Stoop, Crouch, Lean, Sit, and Balance.
- Work with power/automated hand tools.
- Lift/carry/push/slide up to 50 pounds.
- Stand for long periods of time
- Repeat the same movements.
- Work in an automotive repair shop around moving objects, vehicles, machinery with moving parts, and confined spaces.
- Exposure to adverse excessive noise, weather conditions, exhaust fumes, gasoline, diesel fuel, and other vehicle fluids/lubricants.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. Due to the location of this work, U.S. citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
