This is an interdisciplinary position which may be filled by any of the following series: CLINICAL COUNSELOR (0101) OR SOCIAL WORKER (0185). In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: Basic education requirements for the GS-0101, Professional Social Science Series: Have successfully completed a behavioral or social science degree, or a degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position being filled OR Have a combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Have four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Basic education requirements for the GS-0185, Professional Social Work Series: Have successfully completed a degree in social work that fulfills all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. OR Have successfully completed a master's degree in social work with practicum.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
