In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Expert or Mastery level knowledge of Federal Government, Department of Defense, Navy and agency-specific guidelines and business practices, including statues, regulations, polices, and procedures that cover the various contract types; Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate contractual and procurement policy actions involved in supporting sophisticated and technologically advanced systems acquisition programs; Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in order to conduct presentations and briefings at command levels; and Ability to effectively manage and supervise a staff of professional, technical and/or administrative employees. Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for Contracting Positions: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. OR A current career or career-conditional employee of the Department of Defense who occupied an 1102 or contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT) in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000. OR A current active duty military member of the armed forces (other than Coast Guard) who occupied a contracting position or similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent) 1102 on or before September 30, 2000.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This is a Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-04 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS 14 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS 15 grade step 10 in the broadband. However, this position is covered by a salary control points within the NH-04 broad band and the salary range is $143,913 to $197,200. If your current federal salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched, if applicable.
