MANTECH seeks a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Sr. Proposal Content Developer to join our team. This is a hybrid position with occasional travel to Herndon, VA and Hanover, MD.
You will be a strategic leader driving the creation, refinement, and execution of complex, high-value proposal content. This hybrid role merges advanced proposal strategy with cutting-edge AI expertise, positioning you as a central thought leader in our business development efforts. You will spearhead the integration of a rapidly evolving ecosystem of AI tools-including Google Gemini, NotebookLM, Rohan, and custom enterprise solutions-to accelerate research, architect solution outlines, and generate compelling narratives.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Direct content strategy: Lead the content development for complex, "must-win" proposals, ensuring compliant, persuasive, and perfectly tailored responses to formal and informal solicitations.
- Architect winning strategies: Partner closely with Capture Managers, Proposal Managers, and executive leadership to develop win themes, discriminators, and overarching proposal strategies.
- Translate technical concepts: Lead working sessions with SMEs and graphic designers to translate highly complex, technical concepts into intuitive, compelling narratives and visual solutions.
- Mentor and train: Guide junior proposal developers and cross-functional team members on proposal best practices, persuasive writing, and the effective utilization of AI tools.
- Leverage AI for research and architecture: Utilize advanced AI tools to conduct deep-dive research, analyze solicitation requirements, and generate sophisticated, highly customized content architectures.
- Develop AI workflows and prompts: Design, test, and deploy complex, reusable prompt libraries while architecting continuous improvements to AI-driven templates, workflows, and quality assurance processes to enhance scalability.
- Manage enterprise resources: Oversee the curation, governance, and architecture of the enterprise proposal resource library, utilizing AI to audit, update, and manage high-quality corporate knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Business, Communications, English, or technical discipline) with 10 years of progressive experience managing the full proposal content lifecycle and a proven track record of winning large-scale Government procurements.
- Customer Knowledge: Deep, nuanced understanding of National Security customer pain points, with a proven ability to ghostwrite executive summaries and mission-aligned value propositions.
- AI and Prompt Engineering: Advanced expertise with enterprise AI writing tools (e.g., Google Gemini Advanced, ChatGPT Enterprise), combined with the proven ability to engineer complex, multi-shot prompts to produce high-fidelity content.
- Content Evaluation: Exceptional ability to critically evaluate, fact-check, and elevate AI-generated content to ensure strict compliance, technical accuracy, and a distinct human voice.
- Writing and Communication: Master-level professional writing, substantive editing, and exceptional communication skills, supported by a portfolio of successful proposals and a talent for driving consensus among executive stakeholders.
- AI Security Awareness: Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security best practices within enterprise AI platforms.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (expert-level Word formatting and styles), Adobe Acrobat, and collaborative workspaces (e.g., SharePoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field (Business, Communications, English, or technical discipline).
- Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Practitioner or Professional certification.
- Relevant certifications or formal training in AI, prompt engineering, or data analytics.
Clearance Requirements
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph clearance.
Physical Requirements
- You must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- You will need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- You will frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- You must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
