Responsibilities
Peraton is currently recruiting for an Associate Windows Systems AdministratorResponsibilities:Maintain smooth operation of multi‑user computer systems and coordinate activities with network engineersMonitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk utilization, and response times to ensure optimal performancePerform system security administration tasks such as creating and managing user profiles and accountsSet up administrator accounts and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date system documentationTune and optimize system performance across servers and applicationsInstall and manage system‑wide software and allocate mass storage resourcesInteract with users to resolve issues and gather requirementsEvaluate vendor products and provide recommendations for hardware and software purchasesCoordinate installation of new hardware and software solutionsProvide system backup and recovery support to ensure data integrity and availabilityDevelop, implement, and monitor policies and standards for the allocation and use of computing resources
Qualifications
0 years with BS/BA; 4 years with no degree ORDoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification: Security CE OR CCNA Security OR CySA Active DoD Secret clearanceWorking knowledge of PowerShell for routine tasks, automation, and reportingFamiliarity with DoD STIGs, system hardening, and security compliance requirementsExperience with patching and updates using WSUS, SCCM/MECM, or similar toolsAbility to create and maintain technical documentation and SOPsStrong communication skills for working with users, engineers, and leadershipAbility to follow change management processes and support configuration controlComfortable working in mission‑critical DoD environments with strict timelinesDemonstrated ability to work independently while supporting a larger team
