In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one (1) year of that experience at the next lower broadband NH-1, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems which includes knowledge of basic standardized technical procedures related to accountability of Information Technology (IT) hardware asset and non-Standard Desktop Configuration software. Knowledge to assist with maintaining inventory and processing methods to perform assigned steps associated with hardware and software. OR EDUCATION: Completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR COMBINATION: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet the total qualification requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.Knowledge of DoW and Air Force automated data processing and networking standards, policies, and techniques. 2. Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems and their interfaces; and other job control languages. 3. Knowledge of information processing sequences, controls, and procedures. 4. Knowledge of facility environment and infrastructure to support computer systems, and to provide user support. 5. Ability to use and maintain a computer system, equipment, and software; analyze computer network, software, and hardware problems and develop effective and economical solutions; and train users on new computer systems. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
