Job Description
The Logistics Analyst will provide acquisition logistics
support to the Logistics Management Division (LMD) Chief for Uncrewed Aircraft
Systems that spans the acquisition life-cycle framework. Support will focus on the writing, management,
and staffing of acquisition logistics documentation meeting milestone events. They will coordinate the UAS documentation
Integrated Product Team (IPT), develop schedules, track progress, keep meeting
minutes/notes, adjudicate comments between internal and external
stakeholders. The Logistics Analyst will
provide timely review of new or updated acquisition documentation, including
but not limited to Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSP) and associated annexes,
Acquisition Strategy (AS), Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), to support alignment
back the LCSP for acquisition milestone reviews. They will be required to maintain cognizance
of deadlines and take appropriate action to complete tasks in time to
accommodate review schedules. Leverage
technical and logistics experience in performing reviewing contractor proposals
with a focus on identifying potential product support impacts. Recognize issues, propose or jointly develop
corrective action, and keep the LOG Chief informed. Additionally, the incumbent will act as the technical lead for logistics
data integration, engineering software interfaces and exporting critical system
data to ensure interoperability across disparate DoD networks. Provide
briefings, presentations, and written reports to leadership, management, and
peers. Must be proficient in Microsoft
Office Suite programs such as, but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook, MS Teams etc.
Logistics Management Specialists should possess the
knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the following duties and
responsibilities:
- Write, manage, and staff acquisition logistics
documentation
- Coordinate the LMD documentation Integrated
Product Team (IPT), develop schedules, track progress, keep meeting
minutes/notes, and adjudicate comments between internal and external
stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and maintain XML schemas and data export interfaces to
ensure seamless logistics data interoperability between internal databases and
external partner systems.
- Architect system-to-system data exchanges and translate legacy logistics
data into compliant Defense Logistics Management Standards (DLMS) transaction
formats (e.g., DLMS XML/EDI).
- Familiar with MIL-HDBK-502A Product Support
Analysis, GEIA-HB-0007B Logistics Product Data Handbook, SAE-GEIA-STD-0007C
Logistics Product Data, SAE-TA-HB-0007-1 Logistics Product Data Summaries
Handbook, TSTD-017A Product Support Analysis.
- Knowledge of, Level of Repair Analysis, Failure
Modes and Effects Criticality Analysis, Basis of Issues Plan, Type
Classification, and Materiel Release, Technical Publications, Statement of
Work, Performance Work Statements, Statement of Objectives, Contract
Deliverable Line Item.
- Provide timely review of new or updated
acquisition documentation, such as Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP) and
associated annexes, Acquisition Strategies (AS), and Systems Engineering Plans
(SEP) to support alignment with the LCSP and acquisition milestone
reviews.
- Leverage technical and logistics experience in

Experience and Skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- At least 10 years of acquisition experience in a
United States Army Project Offices or supporting LCMCs required.
- Experience developing, reviewing, staffing,
modifying and/or providing input into acquisition documentation, especially
Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LSCP) and appendices for ACAT I or II programs
required.
- Highly Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated hands-on experience in
software/data interface development, including writing XML, parsing data
payloads, and configuring data export/import routines between heterogeneous
systems.
- Deep understanding of Defense Logistics Management
Standards (DLMS) routing, transaction sets, and modernizing legacy
Military Standard Systems (MILS) into XML architectures.
- Participation in technical Integrated Product
Team (IPT) meetings or coordinating with engineers and technical staff.

- US citizenship is required
- Current Secret Security Clearance

EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years of related logistics experience with a BA/BS Degree or
16 years logistics experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
REQUIRED TRAVEL:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. issued passport
- Travel is expected up to 25%
