In this role you will drive technical, cost and schedule execution as a Radio Frequency Associate Manager in the Space Protection Program area. You will work hand in hand with senior program and customer leadership teams to deliver mission critical RF hardware and capabilities. This position will also be responsible for the daily management of a team of RF Engineers and the delivery of space flight hardware. Standard Job Description:
Directs the architecting and designing of Radio Frequency systems and circuitry. Coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Manages the design and development of RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. Leads the staff responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. Oversees the preparation of the following: test methods and specifications; analysis and testing of RF hardware to verify performance characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. Manages the development of RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Coordinates link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Manages the development and allocation of RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Oversees the identification and tracking of RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). Monitors RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.
- Knowledge of RF fundamentals: S-Parameters, antenna theory, propagation and/or microwave circuit design
- Technical experience in RF design for space applications to include antennas, software defined radios and/or ground equipment
- Experience translating technical concepts for stakeholders and presenting findings to senior customer and/or program leadership
Security Clearance / Work Authorization:
- Control Account Management (CAM) experience
- Familiarity with Earned Value Metrics to manage program cost
- Experience managing program schedules with Microsoft Project
- Experience in team leadership to include assessing/growing talent, mentorship and training
- Active TS/SCI w/Poly clearance
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00
