Responsibilities
Peratonis seeking an experienced systemsProcurement Specialistto join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions.Responsibilities:Identifythe procurement needs of theprogram.Conduct market research toidentifypotential suppliers and compare offers.Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secureadvantageousterms.Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.Develop procurement strategies andmaintainstrong working relationships with suppliers.Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.Manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.Forecast price and market trends toidentifychanges of balance in buyer-supplier power.Resolve supplier or contractorgrievances andclaims against suppliers.Review and update procurement policies and procedures.Implement risk management for supply contracts and agreements.**Position is Contingent on Contract Award**
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearance.Minimum of 5yearsof relevant experiencewitha bachelor’sdegree; Min of 7 years with an Associates, Minimum of 3years withmaster’s degree; 0 years with a PhD; minimum 9 years with no degree.Proven work experience as a procurement specialist or manager.Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.Talent in negotiation and networking.Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.Experience in collecting and analyzing data.Strong leadership capabilities.Ability to work independently and take initiative to do what is needed to achieve learning goals.Demonstratethe abilityto communicate with individuals at manydifferent levelsfrom within and from outside of the organization.Desired Qualifications:Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.BS or higher in supply chain management,logisticsor business administration.Security Clearance:This Positionrequiresan Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship isrequiredto hold this clearance.
