We are seeking highly motivated Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineers to support the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract’s (SWDC) Threat Products Services (TPS) / Threat Modeling Center (TMC) at Schriever Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, CO.   This exciting career opportunity at the TMC is responsible for the development and delivery of high-fidelity threat modeling products in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and MDA’s Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The TMC Kinematic Systems Engineer is responsible for working with a group of engineers that generates the kinematic output data of simulated missile trajectories for the TMC.   This role requires employees to be onsite daily with no option for remote/hybrid work.   Basic Qualifications:  Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline preferred with 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years’ experience with a Masters’ of Science degree; or a PhD and 1 year of related experience Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start Experience in modeling and simulation Knowledge of missiles and six degrees of freedom (6 DoF) trajectory representation Experience with missile defense system components and their interoperability Experience in Linux and Windows based platforms with their associated software Quality control experience with a strong background in test and troubleshooting Excellent time management, schedule estimation, ability to lead projects and delegation skills   Preferred Requirements: Knowledge of missile targeting and allocation and “Red Force” laydowns Experience with infrared and radar cross section (RCS) signatures Experience in systems engineering and/or software development and testing, especially with Agile methodology Experience working within the Missile Defense Agency, especially related to Ground Test exercises/events A current DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
