Northrop Grumman is seeking an Principal Quality Analyst/ Sr. Principal Quality Analyst.  This position will be located at our Aeronautics sector in Edwards AFB, CA.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Assurance organization.

The selected candidate will support their team in ways such as:

Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.

Basic Qualifications - Principal Quality Analyst:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of related experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of experience OR PhD and 1 year of experience.
Must have an active U.S. Government clearance granted/renewed within the past 5 years and the ability to maintain.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a special program access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Must be Flight Release Certified.
Must have Flightline experience.
Experience with configuration control, nonconformance reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action in an aerospace environment.

Must have an active U.S. Government clearance granted/renewed within the past 5 years and the ability to maintain.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a special program access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Must be Flight Release Certified.
Must have Flightline experience.
Experience with configuration control, nonconformance reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action in an aerospace environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Experience in writing Northrop Grumman documentation
Knowledge of USAF and other service related documents (such as 8210, 2101, etc.)
Familiarity with AS9100/AS9110, ISO 9001, and/or customer-specific quality management system requirements.
Experience presenting and interacting with customers such as DCMA/Military customers/foreign nationals.
Experience with MES, SAP, PROP, and CPATS systems.
Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).
Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI).
PR/MR Authority.

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
