The Space organization in Sunnyvale, CA has an entry level Quality Engineer opportunity to work within the THAAD Program Quality organization. THAAD has a consistent record of stability with highly evolving technical requirements that drives changes on a regular basis. A significant number of future leaders have been developed with a wide variety of engagement programs and relevant work to develop individual potential. Roles and responsibilities, you will be involved with include:

You will perform analysis on assembly, process, test, mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical quality records to validate data accuracy, acceptability and completeness.

Develop and coordinate Quality metrics reports and presentation packages.

Maintain and support Quality records.

Ongoing documentation of all discrepancies and engagement with engineering and

manufacturing to disposition non-conformances.

Develop and provide recommendations to resolve discrepancies and corrective action for recurring nonconformance's.

Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable quality standards.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline, (e.g., Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and basic computer skills

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment

Self starter with the ability to work autonomously

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance required

US Citizenship required

Desired Skills

Experience with Quality processes and procedures

Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Experience interacting with internal and external customers

Experience in developing and reporting quality metrics

SAP/ERP and SharePoint experience

Familiarity with Material Review Boards (MRB) and Failure Review Boards (FRB)

Experience with Aerospace hardware

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $72800.00 - $135200.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
