Responsibilities
Peraton is currently building a pipeline of skilled and qualified candidates for theUSPS Postal Central Repair Facilitylocated in Topeka, KS due to increased growth over the coming months!The CRF is a depot repair facility for USPS mail processing, delivery, and bulk mail systems repairable parts. Examples: repairing printed circuit boards, electrical, electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies to component level. The CRF provides depot level maintenance for essential automation, mechanization, retail and bulk mail processing systems used in all mail processing and retail installations.We are currently creating a pipeline of qualified candidates for the following positions listed below for upcoming openings over the next few months!Parts Issue Supply Clerks OJT (On-The-Job-Training)Shipping and Receiving Clerks OJT (On-The-Job-Training)Assembly Screening Technicians OJT (On-The-Job-Training)Mechanical TechniciansElectronic TechniciansThese positions are on-site positions located in Topeka, KS and have a Monday-Friday work schedule (7:45am to 4:15pm). Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:High school graduate or equivalentAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearanceU.S. Citizenship required (Must have resided in the U.S. for the past five years with no more than six months travel outside the U.S. during this timeframe).Required skills will be obtained through a 90-day On the Job Training (OJT) program.*Mechanical Technicians aside from a diploma or GED will requireformal mechanical training from an accredited program or equivalent military training, or a minimum of two years verifiable work history experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical repairs*Electronic Technicians, aside from a diploma or GEDmust have formal electronics training from an accredited program or equivalent military trainingPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 poundsPhysical activity may include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing andrepetitive motionRequired to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminalVisual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection)Subject to hazards.
