Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring for aTrade Compliance Managerto join our growing Trade Compliance team in our legal department. This position will support efforts pertaining to USgovernment agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, and civilian markets. This is a hybrid position with an office presence in the DMV area.Requires working knowledge of the ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and FTR to be able to research, analyze, interpret and advise functional departments on compliance with U.S. international trade laws and regulationsExperience in the preparation, submission, and administration of export license applications, Technical Assistance Agreements, Commerce licenses, and validate applicability of ITAR Exemptions and EAR ExceptionsEligible to serve as an Empowered Official as defined by the ITARReview and approve international shipments (exports and imports), foreign travel, foreign visitors and provide guidance to ensure activities are in compliance with licenses and regulationsReview proposals, contracts and/or purchase orders and participates in technical programmatic discussions/meetings for business area programs and technologiesMaintain export and import records per U.S. Regulatory requirements and company policyOther trade compliance-related duties, as assigned
Qualifications
At least 10 years of trade compliance experience. Trade compliance experience must be with a government contractor.Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy requiredStrong organizational skills with demonstrated experience managing multiple deadlinesExcellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skillsExperience is preferred in entering and managing export authorizations in Oracle’s GTM, DECCS, SNAP-R and CBP’s AESPossession of or eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearanceUS Citizenship
