What You Will Do:

You will work alongside professional engineers and scientists with various backgrounds and areas of expertise.  You will learn and grow professionally, with the opportunity to gain real-world experience and help solve challenging problems. This is an opportunity to witness and contribute to cutting edge techniques in embedded cyber-physical exploitation as well as the cyber attack and defense of industrial controls systems (ICS) just like the water and power plants that our nation relies on every day. You will get to see how your academic knowledge gets applied to projects in an operational environment for systems that really matter.

Through Infinity U, you’ll participate in interactive sessions and experiences that broaden your exposure beyond your day-to-day work - from technical briefings and military terminology to professional communication, career development, understanding benefits and more.

By the end of your internship, our goal is for you to leave with more than experience on your resume - you’ll have gained new skills, stronger connections, and greater confidence as you take your next step.

To thrive on our team, you should: 

• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning and improving your skills.
• Be familiar with computer programming principles and associated languages 
  • Preferred languages include C, Assembly, and Python
• Have interest or experience in reverse engineering software and firmware including tools such as Ghidra and IDA Pro and cross-compiler/debuggers such as gcc / gdb
• Be familiar with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and their network protocols, such as BACnet, Modbus, DNP3, and vendor proprietary protocols
• Have interest or experience with offensive cyber operations and red team threat emulation to potentially include vulnerability research and authoring exploits
• Have interest or experience with defensive cyber operations and blue team capabilities such as network and host monitoring, Security Incident Event Monitor (SIEM) tools, creating and fine tuning alerts to detect zero-day exploits and malicious activities on an Operational Technology (OT) network

Education/Credentials:

• Current enrollment in a 4 year or longer STEM degree program
• Preferred majors include: Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
• US Citizenship is required for consideration, as this job requires the ability to obtain a US government security clearance. 
  • Nice to have - Secret level clearance
  • Acceptable -  No current clearance but eligibility to obtain

Work Environment:

This position will be located on-site throughout the summer in an office building. Candidate should be within commutable distance of Dayton, OH for the summer and have reliable transportation. We provide free parking, complimentary snacks and beverages, and a newly renovated central office location in Downtown Dayton.
