Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking an Industrial Engineer (Early Career) for our Missile Assembly team at Pike County Operations (PCO) in Troy, Alabama. Our team is responsible for Industrial Engineering activities that analyze and improve processes, reduce costs, and drive decisions now and in the future.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Industrial Engineer (Early Career), you will be responsible for collaborating with a cross‑functional team to identify and implement process improvements in a production area.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Performing process observations and time studies to support cost analysis and improvement activities
Using metrics, data tools, and visualization to analyze and identify cost, quality, and schedule drivers
Planning and implementing facility layouts and workstation improvements
Applying Lean Six Sigma tools and leading continuous improvement projects
Utilizing discrete event simulation (such as Simio, FlexSim, ProSim, Arena, etc.) and capacity tools to evaluate current and future business needs
Collaborating with production, engineering, and management to drive initiatives

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Management, or a similar Engineering discipline
Experience working in a team-based environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools, particularly Excel
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and retain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting
Must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background investigation to obtain “employee possessor” approval (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment

Desired Skills

Experience in Industrial Engineering/Lean Six Sigma concepts, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
Experience with Discrete Event Simulation (Simio, Arena, FlexSim, ProSim)
Data Analytics/Tableau/SQL/Python experience
Experience using computer-aided design (CAD)
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
