Standard Job Description

You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Sr for the Materials Review Board (MRB) Team which is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and quality of complex composite assemblies for advanced fighter aircraft.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr you will be responsible for leading technical investigations of non‑conformances, coordinating corrective actions, and supporting production flow for high‑performance aeronautical components.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Investigate anomalies, develop technical solutions, and issue dispositions for discrepancies on aerospace parts and assemblies.
  • Coordinate across functional areas such as Stress/Service Life, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Test, Structures, Systems Design, Safety, Materials and Processes.
  • Work closely with the production floor and customer engineering support staff to improve workflow, integrate best practices, and capture lessons learned.
  • Provide MRB team coverage for first‑shift operations, including occasional off‑shift and weekend support.
  • Participate in extended training, including a rotation to Fort Worth, TX, and obtain Material Review certification.

You are a hands‑on aerospace professional with a strong technical foundation in composite structures and a proven track record of solving complex engineering problems. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate clearly across diverse teams, and are comfortable working in demanding production settings, including confined spaces and elevated work areas. Your dedication to quality and safety makes you an ideal partner for the F‑35 and F‑22 programs.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN ‑ This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected will need to be able to possess a active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering field.
  • Experience with CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Unigraphics, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool.
  • Experience providing engineering support for aircraft production, modification, or sustainment.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with CATIA V5 and Team Center
  • Experience with metallic and composite design and/ or analysis
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Prior experience/ role with MR Engineering signature authority
  • Strong internal and external customer focus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
