Come join Lockheed Martin's Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) team. Our system will travel at Mach 5 (over a mile per second). Helping us build a system that goes that fast means overcoming a number of difficult physics and engineering challenges. You will be integrating hypersonic missile technology into an Army battery on a highly accelerated schedule to support the Warfighter. LRHW will be capable of flying at 5x the speed of sound and will provide a timely response to varying threat scenarios. If this intrigues you, come join our LRHW team.

As a Mechanical Integration Engineer you will:

• Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems

• Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

• Develop mechanical interfaces for the tactical vehicle subsystems and components

• Support mechanical design trade studies

• Develop interface control drawings, subassembly engineering and tactical vehicle system-level engineering using CREO

• Regularly communicate with internal customers and program management

• Drive the development of hardware within cost and schedule constraints

• Demonstrates an outstanding work ethic and is knowledgeable across a broad range of topics in mechanical engineering

• Possess good process focus and is able to intelligently apply standard processes to real-world applications

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
• Mechanical design and/or integration knowledge
• Experience or coursework in drafting and ME design techniques
• Experience with Creo Parametric 3D modeling and/or CAD drawing software
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance, US Citizenship required

Desired Skills

• 2 years experience of solid modeling using CREO 4.0 or similar CAD tool

• Experience with basic Engineering analysis and tolerance stack-ups

• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Ability to work within multidisciplinary product teams

• Ability to handle multiple assignments and customers simultaneously

• Active Secret Clearance

• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
