In this pivotal role, you will ensure that FAA National Airspace Systems are upgraded in a timely manner.Work Location:This position is100% on-sitelocated in Herndon VA.Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time to support deployments at CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations.In this position, you will:Our team of technologists and aviation experts are supporting the FAA update of new systems to National Airspace System (NAS).Coordinate activities to complete installation of situational displays at Air Traffic FacilitiesProvide any supporting documentation related to the site-specific activities - e.g., site design documentation, site completion.Comply with all FAA facility requirements (security, workspace availability) and professionally manage all site staff relationships Qualifications Basic Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship RequiredMust have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearanceBachelor’s degree and 12 years’ experience Master's degree and 10 years or Associate’s degree and 14 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years’ experienceDeployment coordination and/or project management experience with governmental customersHardware and software deployment/installation experienceMust be able to travel up to 50% of the time on deployments for both CONUS and potentially OCONUS locationsProficiency creating documents, network diagrams and/or rack elevations using tools such as Visio and Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with National Airspace System (NAS) architecture and modernization initiatives (e.g., NextGen)Experience supporting FAA, DOT, or other aviation or transportation programsRedhat Linux experienceAbility to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.Desktop support experience with windows laptops#BNATCS
