Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Scrum Masterto join our team at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, supporting our Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract.This is a remote position for a candidate within commutable distance to the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD; the candidate may commute periodically to GSFC and travel to other NASA locations as needed.The Scrum Master will lead Agile ceremonies, support the setup and maturation of Agile processes, and guide teams transitioning from traditional Waterfall methodologies to Agile frameworks. This role requires strong communication skills, hands‑on experience with multiple version control tools, and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional engineering teams.Key Responsibilities:Establish, implement, and refine Agile practices across the team and programLead Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming)Coach teams transitioning from Waterfall to Agile, ensuring smooth adoption of new workflowsPartner with product owners and stakeholders to maintain well‑prioritized backlogsIdentify and remove impediments to ensure consistent team progressTrack and report progress using industry-standard Agile metricsCollaborate with engineering teams using diverse software languages and toolchainsPromote continuous improvement and team collaboration Qualifications Required:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field and 10 years of experience; Master's degree and 7 years of experience.Security clearance - this position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and to maintain the clearance thereafter. You must be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.Demonstrated experience setting up Agile frameworks and leading transitions from WaterfallProfessional experience as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitatorExperience with version control systems: Git, GitHub, SubversionStrong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skillsDesired:Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, etc.)Experience supporting government or defense programsExperience working with multi‑disciplinary engineering teamsProficiency or familiarity with multiple software languages including FORTRAN, ADA, C/C++, and Python
