Tech Domain Program Manager - High Speed Systems
Lockheed Martin's Technology Programs charter is to work collaboratively across the Corporation to develop strategic, longer-term, far-reaching capabilities needed to enable our 21st Century Security technology strategy. Efforts span time horizons, with collaborative engagement across business areas (BAs) to drive capability transitions into program opportunities.
Our Corporate Research & Technology Programs organization is hiring a energetic, enthusiastic, and creative Program Manager (Principal) to work across the Corporation to lead the High Speed Systems Domain.
What You Will Be Doing:
In this role, you will play a vital role in defining our future by driving innovative solutions for our Customers through technology strategy, mission capability assessment, and research & development programs aimed at generation-after-next technologies.
You will lead the Domain-specific strategy, collaborate with cross business area IPTs, shape Customer Research & Development (CRAD) pursuits, and assist in the management of cross-Business Area (BA) IRAD programs ranging in size from $.5M to $20M annually. You will be responsible for strategic alignment and overall program performance including cost, schedule, and technical execution.
You will work collaboratively with Corporate Technology Office leadership, BA principal investigators, technical leads, and peer portfolio managers to accelerate and drive technology developments.
Further Information About This Opportunity:
This role is fully remote, but preference is for geographical alignment to a Lockheed Martin Hub. Somewhat regular travel is required (~25%, but will fluctuate with business need). Active Secret Clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience working on Launch Systems, Missile programs, IRADs or programs with technical background in one or more of the following areas:
- Hypersonic Flight Technologies
- Rocket Science
- Advanced Propulsion systems
- Missile Systems
- Experience on development programs that include capability development, implementation, integration, and testing
- Experience working with customers and proven technology transition
- Experience coordinating across multiple lines of business and multi-functional organizations for IRAD investments
- Experience converting strategy into prioritized IRAD products and deliverables combined with a business case investment strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Active Secret Clearance
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with Stage Gate/R&D management processes
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management and/or Agile program management
- Working knowledge of Joint All Domain Operations (JADO) mission objects, DoD implementation, and Operations Analysis (OA) guided capability development
- Experience interfacing with company executives, customers, and external agencies and partners
- Proven ability to partner across internal business areas
- Advanced degree in a technical field
- Systems engineering and requirements development experience
- Demonstrated career progression in roles of increasing responsibilities
Pay Information
GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $228100.00 - $423700.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $205300.00 - $381300.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $182500.00 - $338900.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $164200.00 - $305000.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
