The incumbent will provide assistance in the analysis of a diverse array of major policy decisions. As a Policy Analyst (Detail), GS-0301-9/11/12/13/14/15, your typical work assignments may include the following: Participates in the development of multifaceted budget, program, and legislative proposals. Plans, conducts, and completes special analytical and other studies relevant to budget and legislative policymaking. Reviews important research, evaluation, and statistical activities of Federal and nongovernment sectors to identify and initiate actions to improve databases available to shape informed policy decisions. Reviews pending and proposed budget actions and legislation on assigned topics and advises senior staff and the Assistant Director on recommended actions. Develops and recommends options for action in relevant areas. Perform other duties as assigned."]
GRADE REQUIREMENT: This is NOT a promotion. Applicant MUST currently be at the grade level advertised. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
