As the Command-and-Control System Engineering Technician, you will be a critical member of our CAC2S team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of hardware systems essential for CAC2S operations. In this position, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals to address complex and impactful challenges. You will work alongside government customers and contractor teams to address a variety of tasks and projects while fostering strong relationships with customers, sponsors, and industry partners.
The role of Engineering Technician III will involve maintaining and upgrading this system. Tasking will involve: Supporting engineering activities such as design, test, and modifications. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data. Prepares engineering documentation, reports, and kitting of systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of relevant experience; or an associate degree with at least one year of relevant experience.
Interim secret clearance to start and must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Experience using hand tools and power tools.
Must be attentive to details to ensure products meet Government requirements and qualifications.
Understanding engineering principles, technical drawings, and documentation practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience supporting engineering, drafting, manufacturing, or maintenance environments.
Familiarity with technical drawings, schematics, or configuration management processes.
Experience using data tracking systems or engineering databases.
Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience.
Experience working in a government or DoD support environment is a plus.
